Each look of the collection is a reminder of the glorious 1940s and 1950s high points in fashion: The power and drama of that era’s black-and-white fashion imagery is reflected in the cinched waists, the graphic silhouettes and the generous volumes of classic ball gowns.

Adriana Degreas Swimwear Spring/Summer 2014 Show | Sao Paulo Fashion Week SPFW

Is swimwear what Adriana Degreas does best? Quite possibly, as evidenced by her Spring/Summer 2014 collection at Sao Paulo Fashion Week. This graphic and colorful line uses geometry, stripes, and lines of color to make her statement, with also the use of beachwear she calls Bain Couture. This was beachwear that can obviously be used for more than one occasion. Many of the pieces included satin and looked like gowns.

2014 Swimwear Collection

Designer Liana Thomaz started out making swimsuits with her own sewing machine. Today her brand Agua de Coco is known all over the world for its remarkable quality. The company manufactures its swimsuits in Fortaleza and has 10 stores in Brazil, with many more abroad that are managed by their distributors. Liana Thomaz's main goal has always been to create beautiful swimsuits that would make women feel good about themselves whilst allowing relaxation at the beach. Judging from Agua de Coco's international success, we can definitely say that her mission has been accomplished.
