HATS, HATS, HATS, HATS, HATS, HATS, HATS, !!!!!!!

HATS, HATS, HATS, HATS, HATS, HATS, HATS, !!!!!!!

In Honor of the upcoming Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton, I have done some research and chosen the Designer Nigel Rayment’s latest collection of hats and fascinators … a mouth-watering array of colors, designs and textures for spring and summer 2011.
As someone who counts royalty, politicians, stars and celebrities among his clientele, internationally-famous designer Nigel knows only too well how women absolutely adore wearing hats to make a fashion statement.
It goes without saying that hats and headpieces will be in the global spotlight at the spring wedding.  With millinery at the forefront of fashion this season, whatever you’re looking for in the world of hats, whether it’s a wide-sweeping brim a la Audrey Hepburn or a feathery fascinator, you are sure to find it in Nigel’s new show- stopping collection. All eyes will be on the outfits worn by the Queen, the Duchess of Cornwall, Catherine’s mother, Carole, and other guests at Westminster Abbey.
Nigel’s new collection just has to be seen to be believed – there’s something for hat lovers of all ages, whether you’re a Royal Wedding guest or not.
This Nigel Rayment Collection includes Designer hats from, Ian Stuart, John Charles, Paule Vasseur and Gina Bacconi.

THE RIGHT WAY TO WEAR YOUR HAT

First, remember what occasion you are buying the hat for. Not all hats can be worn everywhere at all times. Some are formal, casual, occasional and others for leisure, all with different widths of brims. Never wear a hat that doesn’t match with the purpose of the occasion because you will in turn send a wrong image of you.
Hats are available in a variety of colors. If you are simply buying a hat to wear for everyday wear, then choose a neutral color like black or brown. If, however, you are looking for a hat to complete a look then take care to match it perfectly with your outfit. A good way to choose a color is to match it to your coat because you will need it the most outside where you will be showing it most of the time.

THIS TIP IS PROBABLY THE BEST OF ALL!
A "jaunty" even "lopsided look" takes the plainest hat and gives it pizzazz...and you along with it! NEVER wear a hat on the back of your head!
Placing the hat on the forehead with no more than one finger's width above the eyebrow and slipping the crown down on the head where the top of the hat is actually touching the top of your head is usually the most intriguing way to wear it.
  • Daytime: wear hats straight on the head or tilted mysteriously over one eye--NEVER on the back of the head (THAT is for little girls only)
  • Evening: tip hats forward at seemingly precarious angles
  • Day or night: if you're showing skin, wear a wider brim; it adds the right proportion
In all the excitement, don't forget THAT how the hat looks from the neck up is only part of the story. Stand in front of a full-length mirror with your hat on and check your total image...hat to toe!
