ANTONIO BERARDI
ANTONIO BERARDI
MOOD/STYLE:
The chromatic combination between black and white continues
to be a prominent element in the Antonio Berardi collection, developed in order
to enhance the contrast through an overlay of garments with a tapered
silhouette or focusing on abstract graphic elements that captivate the
eye. Menswear style is made feminine by
showing off shoulders and enhancing the waist with belts. Sleeves and skirts dare transparencies,
innovative sequins and metallic rivets provide a contemporary decoration, while
sparks of patent leather are opposed to the organza and to the formal
consistency of certain silhouettes

mini, midi and maxi

cloth, silk, wool, cotton, organza, sequins, velvet, rivets,

looks at the city of Paris and at the splendor of the Palace of Versailles
during the Rococo period as inspiration for this pre-Fall collection. Sumptuous
and sexy at the same time, it shows a sinuous and body-conscious silhouette

with soft ruches. Sensual mini dresses
are covered with beads and fringes. And
baroque jackets are worn with second skin slim trousers combined with
accessories decorated with jewel and gold sculptural buckles.

MOOD/STYLE
the collection takes once again the path of sensuality playing with tight silhouettes that enhance the feminine curves, as in the brand’s DNA, but adding a more structured and rigorous touch, borrowed from the technical and work clothes, to the sex appeal. Sleek sheath dresses are combined with belts and multi tasking jackets, playing with style contrasts, but also seeking an innovative colour palette. The pleats of the skirts become slits, the weaving is transformed into a 3D surface with a tromp l’oeil effect and the perforated mesh presents catching geometries
