TO ALL OUR 2011 BRIDES

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE 2011 BRIDES!!!

Your BIG DAY” is ahead, you have pictured yourself in the most perfect bridal gown after thumbing through hundreds of bridal magazines for the latest fashion in bridal gowns and accessories. Let us be realistic, the gown may look gorgeous on the model in the magazine however, it may not be the one for your body type and you may not achieve the look you want on your special day.
You should choose a gown that accentuates your best features and body type.

BODY TYPES
Let us examine some of the body types:

Hour-Glass Figure
Choose a gown with a halter style neck-line, this type of gown will accentuate your best features and give the illusion of an extended shoulder line. A two piece ball gown, with strap or strapless, will also enhance your hour-glass figure, especially if your hips are a little wider, this will balance your overall look.
Avoid bias-cut gowns or gowns with straight skirts because these styles give the appearance that your hips and derriere are larger than they really are. The two-piece and corset dresses enhance the hourglass figure and accentuate your waistline. Well fitted ball gowns and corseted bodices also enhances the bust line. Balancing your accessories plays a crucial part in the overall look as well your bouquet should not be too overwhelming, your headpiece should be simple and elegant and should not be overdone especially if your gown is elaborate.

Petite Figure with a Small Bust-line
Choose an empire-line bridal gown or a gown with a high neck-line. The empire-line dress focuses on the bust, it has a seam that runs across and just below the bust-line and it reaches to the floor with an un-interupted pattern or seam, the high neck-line accentuates the length of the entire body, perfect for petite and slim figures. You should focus on your bust-line and elongating your body giving the illusion of being taller.
Avoid wearing full ball gown style dresses - your petite body will look very elegant and even more petite.

Curvy and Busty Figure
Choose a V-shaped neckline, this style is very flattering and gives the illusion that your bust is just the perfect size. Your curves will be in all the right places. Also, a strapless gown will give your figure the perfect symmetry, remember a good choice in lingerie will give extra help and support to your bust-line.
Avoid high necklines as this style can make you look out of proportion and very busty, while over plunging necklines gets you unwanted attention and is not appropriate for a wedding ceremony.

Full Hips & Tummy Figure
Choose an A-line style gown. Most dresses in this style have seams running vertically, these seams create a slim line to your figure and flattens the tummy area and as the gown flares out from the waist-line it shows perfect proportions and symmetry.
Avoid dresses with seams or patterns running across the mid section of your dress also avoid accessories like scarves and ribbons around the tummy area, the less emphasis there the better.

Arms
Choose a long sleeved bridal gown if you are self-conscious of your arms, also it is perfect for an autumn or winter wedding. For a warmer climate, the other option is to choose a sleeveless dress and cover your arms with a decorative shrug, wrap or pretty laced jacket. You'll look like a celebrity, all the emphasis will be on you and your lovely dress. Note: Triceps make up about 2/3 of the arm. Biceps about 1/3. Guess what exercises would yield the most results. ;)
Avoid sleeveless gowns without a shrug, wrap or decorative jacket.

Tall: Choose Ball gowns, princess line and A- line wedding dresses, straight bridal dresses and mermaid dresses; all are great for you tall brides, you tall brides can carry almost any dress style. However avoid empire line dresses that can look almost “tent like”.
Avoid flowers or bouquets that are too small or too large. You should maintain your body proportion for your particular body type.

Full waist-ed: Princess-line and drop waist wedding dresses are most flattering. Draw the eye up with stunning bridal and wedding accessories. Gorgeous Diamonds will complete your elegant look. Shoes with heels two inches and higher will complete your elegance.

I hope these suggestions help. Please leave your questions and comments I will love to hear from you!!
